Everything was great! We were a group of 9 adults and took the train from Naples to Ercolano station. The weather was beautiful. Our departure was scheduled for 10:00, but the bus was running a bit late. It wasn’t a problem though – there’s a bar at the meeting point where you can start your day with a freshly squeezed orange mimosa – delicious! We left around 10:30, and the drive up was smooth – you could tell the driver was very experienced. We arrived at the Vesuvius parking area around 11:00 and had free time until 13:30. We walked up to the crater at a relaxed pace and took lots of pictures. The hike isn’t long, but it is steep – still, we managed just fine despite our not-so-great fitness levels. Later, the same bus took us partway down, and we switched to a smaller shuttle bus that brought us directly to the entrance of Pompeii – just as we had requested, since we had a guide waiting for us. We arrived at 14:20, which was a bit tight because our tour with the guide was set for 14:00. Because of that, we didn’t stop for lunch and went straight into the ruins. If I could suggest one change, I would slightly adjust the schedule – maybe start the Pompeii visit at 15:00 or 16:00, with some time in between to grab a bite to eat or bring food along. The options at Vesuvius weren’t really to our taste. That said, the whole transfer and tour were very well organized, and I rate the experience very highly!
Very convenient and on time
We booked the vesuvio bus from Herculaneum to the Vesuvio and then to Pompei. Everything was well organised. The bus left on time and we were given the tickets to the Vesuvio in advance. At first we were told that we would have to go back down with the bus to Herculaneum and we would be taken to Pompei from there but in the end we were taken directly from the Vesuvio to Pompei at the convened time for the bus. We were glad to have booked in advance as some people had to wait for the next hour bus. It is very convenient if you want to visit the Vesuvio and Pompei in the same day. Especially as it started pouring with rain when coming down form the Vesuvio!

Tylko nasza czwórka zamówiła transfer do pompeji po Wezuwiusza, więc została dla nas zorganizowana taksówka, co było dodatkową atrakcją! eng: I highly recommend it to people who are independent and can figure out on their own what they want to see in Pompeii. The views from Vesuvius are truly amazing! Only the four of us booked a transfer to Pompeii after visiting Vesuvius, so a taxi was arranged for us, which was an added attraction!
